You’d think the board would have expressed some concern to Jane by now as to “why” so many are leaving.

https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/bofa-hires-citis-chief-accounting-officer-okpara-ft-reports-2024-09-16/ Citi's former Chief Accounting Officer was hired by Bank of America in the same role. So this is his reason for "Leaving for an external opportunity." LOL! The R@ts are abandoning the Citi Train Wreck Ship ! Choo Choo ! ROTFLMFAO !!!
Are you talking about the Chief Accounting Policy Officer who was reported in the media as leaving Citi effective Sept. 10 ? He was obviously a DEI hire. No Caucasian or Asian (Indian or East Asian) would ever get hired with his weak credentials for a job as Chief Accounting Officer or CFO.
Only in Citi (and other defunct companies where malfeasance, theft, incompetence, fecklessness and violations of law were rampant: Bear Stearns, Gruntal, Ryan Beck, Wachovia, etc.) where the standards are low and they have low caliber employees can someone with No Accounting background be hired as Chief Accounting Officer, a Controller or any type of Accounting Manager. Citi's Chief Accounting Officer who turned in his resignation on Sept. 10 does Not even have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, let alone a CPA license. His MBA was in Finance. Not good enough. It's related but it's Not Accounting. That's like hiring a Nurse for a job that requires a Medical Doctor. by Anonymous Post ID: @4nsq+1urzXm2m
Post ID: @2dvw+1uv5lxue Not always. "Leaving for another opportunity" is code for a) Fired b) Got a new external job, but both the new and current employer are Not permitted to announce publicly yet for Executive "Management" level people until After the 30 Days or 6 months Garden Leave (whichever is in the employee's employment agreement / contract) is over.
Leaving for another opportunity is code for Fired.
No one gives a Flying Fvck if MDs leave. Don't cry for them or feel sorry for them. They rake in millions of US$ plus stock options!
I can take this position so no worries
