I think this should be on the table. The contract is up and the ridiculous demands (in my opinion of course) are so far apart , apparently the union leadership apparently doesn’t like the benefits and working conditions of the company anymore. As T leadership has mentioned- if you don’t like it here, go somewhere else.
The strike is not based on ‘unfair labor practices’ … it’s all economic and benefit strong-arming . There’s a limit to ‘reasonable expectations’ and sorry but your pay and benefits are not based on your debts or your wants.

Yes! Let the blind faith and hate of the great Stankey flow through you!! You shall be rewarded with surpluses!
Totally agree. In fact, do it today. Post 17,000 openings on Workday. Then hire 170 staffing managers, with the job to backfill 100 techs each (then fire them!), then hire 1,700 trainers (maybe the CP managers can train them). And after they complete 40 hours of DEI training, ergonomics training and anti-bribery training… they should be ready to work mid-2026. In the meantime, pay triple for contractors. Hiring 17,000 contractors will bump up the pay rates across the entire south east and contractors will then fetch triple the hourly rate of our union techs. Thank you OP! You’ve solved everything. Stankey needs you as his right hand man.
