Rumor: Ford Pro about to be gutted

Cannis was told to cut 20% of Pro heads. He chose to retire instead.

The 20% cut is still coming.

@2dog+1uu1C3n7 this is the ford management way: make assertions as if they are facts.

As if it needs to be said, most of Ford Pro revenue and its value is based on software, data, and subscriptions/services. The best strategy for Ford Pro would be to move that content into Model e where it can be developed further and thrive under DF.

The rest of Pro can move into Blue where it belongs.

I'm replacing Cannis. Stretch target is 25% which I will achieve.

Retired November 2022 myself because it made financial sense. My guess is he’s ready to enjoy life with his family. Cannis’ stock grants received in March 2024 vested early September so with 35 years, why not retire. As a retired LL1, he can never spend what he earned. Lots of other perks as an executive retiree and not that easy to get another job without board approval by the way.

My unsubstantiated guess is that Cannis found he will not be considered for CEO when JF is jettisoned. So, he is leaving on his terms.

It's funny how naive many people are. Let's look closer.

In the last five years this company had laid off or forced out thousands of workers at very profitable product areas. But it can't happen at Ford Pro?

😂

Wake up people.

@ckx+1uu1C3n7 - not the case. People who retired Nov 2022 are the luckiest in years. I’ve heard many called it the golden era. People who took the lump sum are really lucky. With the market going up 26% last year and 18% so far this year, had they stayed they would have had to work another 7 years to get the pension payout equal the current market value. Pretty much all of them took a gamble, and it paid off for them.

Ford Pro makes very healthy profits, Pro has a higher margin than Blue. Layoffs I suspect, but in Pro specifically, I doubt it

Nobody ever retires voluntarily. In Nov 22, many people retired, but none wanted to; they were all forced out.

Cannis had 35 years with the company. He just wanted to retire. Stop with the conspiracy theories.

So they will bring in a replacement for Cannis and have that person lay off 20%. Sounds like a job no intelligent person would accept.

Would be glad if it is so many clowns there who are doing nothing but collecting pay check. Most of the jobs they do are duplicates so don't even think we need 60% of them.
