The fact people who have other options like spectrum with a min of 300mb speed and other fiber only providers and they still willingly decide to get this trash dsl that gets zero maintenance and attention now a days. People will call in trouble tickets monthly with internet issues and still will not switch to a better option. Unless u are on our fiber optic service I wouldn't recommend dsl to anybody and the fact people still willingly getting this bs in 2024 when they got plenty other options that are 99% more reliable is mind boggling I understand if it's the only option u got but if not idk about you. And it's the 400k+ houses that annoy me the most getting like 25mb and below with constant issues but staying with us for the "price" because we dam near giving the internet away for free to get anybody to sign up.

But hey if u dont have no issues with it and your service is good more power to you...cable is shittier in some areas than others

@xyl+1uthIHOt idk about u but I would rather pay a lil more for some reliable internet that never goes out unless they are doing maintenance or natural cause like a tree falling on the line than to have the sh-t randomly go out due to a squirrel nest or bird nest or corroded copper lines that's exposed and have to have a tech come out every month.
Soon, their slowest speed will no longer be 100/20. Then what will you do?
@OP+1uthIHOt I switched to cable and signed up for their slowest speed of 100/20. cause thats all i need. Never looked back and no regrets. Cable company is so much more rock solid and reliable. With windstream, anytime it thundered and lightning outside, the net would drop off and have to re-sync up again. Very annoying. Dropping Windstream was best decision I made about internet choice I ever made. I had their G Bond service, fiber not available where I'm at and prob wont be for years.

Probably because like me, senior citizens do not need 100mbps service - which is all that Spectrum offers. My price is going from $29.99 to $79.99. For my budget, THAT'S ALOT. All I do is email and some on-line ordering - that's it. When I call Spectrum they tell me less than 100 is no longer available. Just another way to get more $ out of the consumer. If someone has suggestions - I would LOVE to hear them. P.S. I use to work at Windstream and was laid off.
