Uncertainty, stress, pressure, and office politics are among the biggest issues we have to face daily. I’m tempted to quit and start working at McDonald’s for a simpler, more peaceful life. I swear, I'm at the point where the idea of leaving behind all of this to embrace something straightforward and less complicated feels incredibly appealing right now.

The best decision I ever made was leaving Centene last year.
I have been looking for part-time supplemental work since early 2023 after they cut PFP, KCAs, and QBonus' along with promotions and actual performance raises (not merit increases or COLA) because with that they also kept finding ways to not offer OT (which I had been working consistently since 2017). Makes more sense to work 10 hrs OT than 20+ hours for min wage. And yes I politely tell them no when they try to get me to work OT now. If you don't have my back when I need it I def don't have yours when you need it - sorry not sorry. Anyway point is that - convenience stores, gas stations, department stores, and fast food - all have said I am overqualified. Why because I have been white collar for the last 10 years and they are afraid I want their management job or I won't stay. I def don't want their management jobs and the idea is not to stay long-term. But yet they say no one wants to work lol - it's a joke all of it
Just remember McDs might consider you overqualified and not hire you so like it was said, if you can afford to just walk away, do so for your well being but if you can't, try and stick it out until you land another job. Best of luck!
The favoritism and misandry are real.
I was in the same boat! Miserable as ever after about 10 years I was blessed to be part of the layoffs! My life is so peaceful! If you can afford to walk away take peace over a paycheck
@1uei+1utZk66S - Haven't looked back? you're literally on a post about centene..
I left earlier this year and haven’t looked back. No regrets and no more stress!!!!
