Quite a few US-based people have been reporting being laid off since yesterday. I’m seeing it both online and hearing from colleagues. I can’t say if mass layoffs started, or if it's just a coincidence I’m hearing a lot about it all of a sudden. All the evidence is anecdotal. However, mass layoffs have been rumored for a while now. Can anyone confirm or give more info as to what’s going on?

I was affected and was aware this was coming. There were 7 total from my department alone.
Pretty much company wide
There’s still not a lot of clarity about the impacted departments, so if someone could elaborate that would help.
