Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

I’ve worked in several companies, and this one is the worst

Hands down. At this point I’m just observing the interpersonal dynamics as you would observe social experiment. It would even be interesting if it all wasn’t peppered by questionable competence. If the amount of time and energy spent on toxic games was instead spent on actual work and management, this would be a leading company.

I agree... Everyday is dealing with head games, power plays and people that would sc--w you over for a chocolate bar.
I'm not a devious person, so for me to deal supervisors and colleagues (Inter and intra departmental) that are, as well as the toxicity on a daily basis, wears me out. Let's not forget about those that feel the need to throw their weight around, talk over you, take over conversations, attempt to correct you even when it's not warranted. I don't know if they do it because they feel threatened or have mommy issues. I really don't care.

I work in an area where the supervisors do not want you to exhibit any technical skillsets and constantly use the 'Carrot in front of the donkey' technique to lead you along. The same supervisors that downplay your skillsets to other individuals in other departments. The same supervisors that chisel any self-esteem that you may have until you're constantly questioning your actions and abilities.

The same supervisors that are masters at gas-lighting. Of course, then it comes to a point where everyone is doing it just to stay ahead of the next individual.

This ran a little long, but I have a lot frustrations to express.

I need managers and supervisors that will mentor me, use my current capabilities and allow me to expand my skillsets. Not prohibit it. As it is, this is just a job. If you want a career. You would be better off going to Walmart and working as a door greeter to get your foot in the door.

@Walker

I completely agree. Get out as soon as you can. And while you are here just lay low and do as little as possible.

This place is definitely not worth any effort. They don’t care about me so why would I care about them?

No surprise to anyone reading this I hope.

Gainwell is a toxic cesspool of incompetence. And it starts at the top.

It’s all about money. The sooner you can be replaced with cheaper labor offshore the better. Oh and raises for everyone, yeah we will just give about 1.5% because we don’t care. And because we su-k with finances. That is if you are lucky enough to get one at all.

This place is definitely not worth much effort. Do the bare minimum. Leave as soon as you are able. And don’t look back.
