Engineer here. Regardless of your current LT, who are your top 10 HR leaders?

What is happening with the focus on leadership/exec development? Isn't that supposed to be supporting the succession/ benchstrength issue?

Great! Who? Let’s vote them to the top! That’s how this works, right?

I can think of some strong 25-26 HR leaders that would be good for our top function jobs. They’ve always told the truth and taken care of their people and have credibility with business leaders.

Only 200 cuts in HR
This is insane

I would expect at least 90% in the US and US expats (yes RM sent HR from the US to miss up the other BU's with her sh---y agenda) as well as Canada and Australia

People overseas are more pleasant to deal with even when they hold a hard policy line, they do not hold grudges or try to push social agendas. They focus only on business l.

MG made it clear we labor cost in HR is 122% higher than peers in high cost areas. And they want to use low cost locations.

They are looking at cutting 200 people. Mostly Americans and Australians. This is so infuriating.

You can just tell from this string the frustration within HR. Get ready for the mass exodus of the top performing 22-24s. We are just fed up with you.
MG is making the same mistakes as RM. I am sure their next action is having high level leaders individually reach out to us to tell us that "we hear you and care about your career".

I hear LD trying to withhold all the power she can. Causing some chaos because she won't share information openly. This is concerning.

Just a reshuffle so LD can finally finish HR Transformation. all the other leaders that couldn’t deliver get to keep their grades and pay in new roles. rest of HR will get outsourced before any of them are held accountable

As I lay here in bed in Houston, I read these posts and agree with the most pointed ones. I shouId have left in 2021 with a lot of great folks. I will not trust chevron again. This place is a dumpster fire.

We will go through this again in 2027. HRLT has a very weak skill sets and any of them can be replaced tomorrow with a PSG 23-25.

It's nice to see AT break thru. She and her peers are who should be taking most of those jobs.

I don’t know if this is the HRLT regime of the future. I’m looking at who the next 8-10 names are. Looks promising if they stay.

I am looking forward to reapplying for my job again. 5th time in 14 years. I wish just once I could get manage moved and not stress about this.
None of the top people know how this feels. Not one of them.

They never choose the right people. The best people get stuck in the 22-25 levels because they do the work. To get to a 26, you have to talk about doing the work and how hard it was to deligate to others.

Gender does not matter
Look at the CBU HR disasters led by a man. Blbrain drain, Fines, law suites, panic, one way conversations, passive aggression, ... failed in every aspect ... the place is currently junk and we can not get even close to its market valuation or what we want

I do agree they need more diversity in HR, but it has to be the right people.

Eh, not sure I agree with that statement. If the tables were turned and it was females being displaced, it would be a different story. Overall, it is what it is. This is only the beginning of fear some of these moves have instilled and its only the first layer we've established...

Let's be honest about the males in HR. Most of them are 2 PSGs high than they should be.

A bit scared on the power that was just given to a certain person in MGs new LT. Her approach is pretty intense and not many can handle it. How did we get here? Also, how was it okay to displace most of the males on the LT?

RM was useless! Her priorities were external to CVX and social justice issues within CVX. No surprise workday just announced her as a board member. She lost contact with the function and wasn't a good leader. Made lots of poor selections and favored those that look like her. MG will clean up the mess and get things done.

LD got a ton of power. She is an awful leader and is going to destroy her organization. The good thing for her is that someone competent will be forced to be her advisor. God have mercy on their soul.

Out of RMs 3 horror lackeys (SE,CW and JL), only JL is mentioned. Looks like the other 2 are out.

Wow, MG slashed her LT in half. Bold move. Diversity of LT took a hit with that though. LD just got very powerful too. Wish a few of the LT members would stay on LT, I think they could and were having a positive influence.

The mistake that was made by the board is keeping RM until the end of the year. The word on the streets that she is middling in everything and trying to protect her minions, her fake legacy, her useless initiatives and also making sure that MG hands will be tied and pretty much fail.

I expect another reorg in HR in 12 month. They only put a lipstick on a pig. In other words, the pig is still there. Get the pig out of the kitchen before you can clean it.

I’m in HR and don’t have any idea what some of those jobs are! It must be nice to be a chosen one.

It’s more shuffling than you’ll find at a Vegas blackjack table.

Quite predictable how they keep reshuffling the work into newly named departments. And of course they need new titles every time they the reshuffle work.

Get an online HR management service. They could probably do just as good. Dump the majority like a good colon cleanse or one of those colonoscopy prep things!

Half of the people listed today should go. They caused the problems in HR, stop rewarding them for failures. Then, Downgrade all the jobs across the board and promote the 22-25 to leadership. They are the collaborative people that can actually perform the work in HR. They are also pleasant to work with and actually care about people and the function. ELT and dept heads are power hungry, selfish, and promote friends thru fear.

Looking after people is a function of leadership so all HR goes to dept heads. A bot can update policies. So 95% of HR can go.

So glad jc now reports to learning and talent. That dude went rogue swinging his di-k at everyone and shoving it to every bu. He was making all staffing and pdc decisions himself. Not sure why we needed pdrs and he never cared for what BUs asked. Hopefully he settles down a bit
