I was rifled recently, rehired 38 days later, shouldn’t I retain my original years of service date for PTO accurals?

I was riffed after many years, received 6 mo. SUB. I am on track for a rehire 60 days after my term date. I lose SUB at rehire and no credit for the remaining SUB benefit, ask HR what happens at the next RIF?0, because you know there will be one...
will be treated as a new associate.
Also, only get AIP if you are onboard 10/1 and only get the AIP for the last quarter. no credit for the months you worked before RIF.
Makes no sense to rehire, but if you do wait until SUB runs out.
That's what they said in our "off boarding" meeting. As long as you were hired with in 2 years of being laid off
@1mzx+1ur3oEAa that is false
Your “ years of service should be deducted by the number of days you were “laid off”. You shouldn’t lose PTO
Wow. You lost a week of PTO when you were rehired? That’s ridiculous
When I was RIF then re hired back seven weeks later I lost my grandfathering, therefore lost one week of PTO accrual per year going forward and my anniversary date changed to my new rehire date. I keep overall years of service.
Yes, you will retain tenure. Your service date continuous service date will change by 38 days. For example, if your original hire date was 1/1/2020 your new continuous date will be 38 days later.
