i have only seen this happen with a leader who took a position with a direct competitor and had access to proprietary information. i don’t think they “let them go”, i think they just removed their access to their company laptop. but i believe they were still “employed” for the remainder of their 2 week notice

I resigned as an exempt associate after 15 years for a position elsewhere, and was not asked to leave immediately. They were appreciate of the 2 weeks I gave them. Depends on the role and the person most likely.

I have been with the company over 10 years and I have never witnessed that. If you give 2 weeks, they honor that.

That’s typically not true unless you’re an exempt employee with access to a high level of proprietary strategy information. If you’re asked to do a non working two week notice you have to be paid through the last day of your notice. Capital One will get their money’s worth.

Haven't heard that version of C1. Given how they treat employees I won't be surprised if that's the case. Do you know if that person is a PIP opt-in or in Coaching Plan?
