Where manager/supervisors will take great strides to keep you in your proper social class.
This is purposely done through micro-managing and withholding information as a method of control. Managers can't have the peasants exceeding them in anyway or there would be a need for said managers.
Most other companies are thrilled to have employees that are motivated to learn, expand their skillsets and push for self-improvement. That is not the Gainwell way, especially if doing so outpaces the capabilities of the managers/supervisors in any way.
Definitely a buzz-ki-l and de-motivator once you realize the dynamics and how the company operates under the placement of social classes within the workplace.
