Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Severance not posted

I don’t see the severance posted. So is it different for different people? Managers select the package no clear rules of years and grade?

The severance policy is posted. It is the same for everybody except for the amount of weeks you get in addition to the minimum 12 weeks for most. Either people can’t read which maybe you don’t need to be here or you’re just creating these posts for drama. I miss seeing things that are factual.

Holy sh-t, I’m grade 14 with my 13 year bank anniversary coming in October. Looks like I would get the same 12 week severance as someone who has been with the bank a year if I get let go before October. What a company!

You can also find the Severance policy by typing Severance in the search bar of the My Total Rewards site. The first result in the chat box takes you to the plan.

It's posted in the My Total Rewards section.
Go to Savings and Retirement Summary.
Look in the column labeled 401(k) Savings Plan. The 5th link from the bottom says Plan Information. Click on the link and it brings you to the page where the SPD (Summary Plan Description) documents are available.

There may be other paths to get to this destination, and this is only one of them.

Give us some context. Why do you think you will see severance posted? Were you laid off? Was it communicated to you by your manager or HR? If yes then did they mention anything about a severance package to you during the communications?
