Do you think he was pushed or found something better?

Mike, before JG, please address EB. It is so painfully obvious how mediocre she is. Our company needs someone, who is a real powerhouse... we all cringe every time she makes her memorized comments
JG - So predictable - Has no respect for experienced long term dedicated and successful people who had proven business results. Favorite passive aggressive response is "That wasn't helpful" when someone has pointed out his obvious incompetence . Totally reliant on his upwards focus and the resultant network. Known for his passive aggressive under the table knifing. Quick to tell others how to behave but if you have soul you would never want to be like him.
Mike - after Nigel this should be your next project.
Maybe MW and MN felt threatened by NH's talent.
They don't take kindly to those who are sharper. MN is king of riding others coat tails, what a fake!
Oh boo hoo, I don’t feel valued even though I made it pretty high up the ladder and will never run out of money because they gave me boat loads of it for basically riding on some coattails just because I spoke with an accent, after all I am from the UK. pip pip cheerio! now they are letting me go just to put another person there in a job that is not actually needed because we don’t really know how to run a company! It is just someone else’s turn to get paid!!! UNBELIEVABLE.
At the end of the day, it is about whether or not you feel valued. You can say he is paid “stupid”, but everyone of us know we want to feel valued and there is not a $ that buys us in the long run……..I never met him person to person, but I can’t think he is necessarily different as a person than all of us who want to be appreciated. And MW and MN did NOT appreciate him from what I saw on TOwnhalls, corporate communications, etc.
Going to Coterra apparently
Living Rent Free on this site for sure and laughing on the beach sipping a premium drink.
NH joined legacy Texaco in 1989 as a power engineer at the Pembroke Refinery in the United Kingdom...so he's not a thoroughbred.
NH followed the career path of his mentor, JJ.
JJ was shown the door before 65.
In reality, NH's fate had already been decided prior to the stand up of OPG, though most didn't realize that at the time.
NH was an intermediate filler or space holder until the actual HQ move this year.
There isn't always room at the head table for everyone, especially those not favored.
he was on a PIP and didn't impove
Its possible. MN and MW are BFFs. It is possible MW engineered this after his original plan of waiting 3 years till EB is ready was struck down.
@1vw…….all of the movement to place the company under MN over the last few years is your sign. I will not be surprised to see MW to MN announcement in November/December (or next year) to set up the ~ 1 year transition. Why else do you have the entire company now reporting to MN, except CNE which is a joke…..
if JG is really a viable candidate sell your stock - Silver spoon has no clue and cares only about himself. Bailed out of visibility for really poor business performance and planning by the cover of the pandemic. More interested in boasting about Masters invitations then meeting production targets. The master of passive aggressive.
How come they didn't announce that AW is reporting to MW? They kind of did that on the downlow.
JG is a buffoon. Please stop promoting that fool.
Gently “pushed” in a way that made it “his idea”. He wanted the throne, but saw EB was anointed. JG moves to CFO and NH realized both EB and JG are the future 1 and 2. The fact this happened in less than 2 years of the new OPG, does smell that MW didn’t level set enough with NH that this was the future…….and NH seems surprised and hurt and thus the departure………MN gets the seat for 3 years as part of the transition from MW to EB.
I thought Nigel was the golden child… He’s gone? Where did he go?
He was fired
How much are VPs really making? Are there VPs that are really GMs?
He found greener pastures with another major
With that Jack he has! I am sure deals were made and everyone benefited $$$$$.
