Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Everybody seems like they've already mentally left

Productivity is down significantly. It's like people can't be bothered anymore. I guess if you treat employees like cr-p for years, this is the result.

The CEO is in over her head, always has been, and tried to make herself look smart by acqusition. Her hirings have been poor and now CDW has a bloated leadership that believes it is infallable with directors and above making significantly more money. Greedflation has hit big time to the point where CDW uses partner funds inappropriatley to make its earnings look better. Very sad.

I worked for a Fortune 500 company which had individual departments with more employees than CDW. That company was acquired in one of the biggest (and derided) acquisitions in history. CDW is not even close to being too close to fail. With the id--ts we have in charge, it already is.

Guys when performance culture becomes subservient to an identity culture the business fails. Thats why smart companies are making fast pivots. Think about the old leadership versus this leadership team. Who was more successful? Who was more loved? The ones who put performance first. The other question as to whether CDW is too big to fail? No such thing. CDW is in a cycle and will either have the courage to change, or will fail.

The new HR chief hopefully will look at all the issues. resistance to change, misalignment between espoused and actual values, and communication breakdowns

Forcing us to take all of our PTO definitely didn't help.

Good point to ponder. Also, is CDW too big to fail?
