Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

Bloat at the top

While they’re busy slashing jobs at the manager and director levels has anyone been paying attention to the fact that T dramatically expanded the EC and each EC person then hires a CAO or chief of staff, their own HR Business Partner, their own comms person who writes their talking points etc etc? I’m sure they all get paid huge bucks. and yet the cuts hit people who make 1/10th the $$. Get rid of one or two of them and you save 40 jobs of people who actually do something. SMH.

Sorry. It’s schedule “G”. Been awhile since I cared enough to find out rather than just guessing.

If any of Y’all are serious about the bloat at the top, here’s what ya do. Send a FOIA request to the office of the insurance commissioner for the State of New York and ask for a copy of schedule “H”. That will open your eyes. That is the only place they are required to report on the salaries of Ececutive and sub-executive senior management. They conveniently leave that page out of their “Open Book” online, but the NY state insurance commissioner is required to provide it if and when the receive a FOIA request for it. I would bet the ranch that they have over 100 people making $500k just in salary. Schedule “H” discloses that. You’re welcome.

What do Indians have to do with this whole thing?

Unpopular opinion but TIAA could use a culling of a couple thousand associates (in addition to new leadership). This place top heavy is rampant with overspend.

Outsourcing 1,000 jobs to Accenture is a way to save costs and take pressure off of salary and benefits allocated to the top of the TIAA pyramid. Fewer Indians to complain about how much wampum is going to the chiefs.
