Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Any new information?

People have been talking for a while now about mass layoff coming. Any updates? Anything confirmed?

Alot of scare mongering going on here.

Yes, there have been some redundancies but that's part of working life.

Whole countries are not under consultation!

Hearing 300-400 across AIG and corebridge. Former MetLife employees saved. Laid off MetLife employees will take over positions that are being cleared.

I'm so sorry this is happening.

It's the day we all knew was coming, yet never expected it to happen.

Unfortunately folks laid off by AiG and Corebridge are not able to find job in Merlife and are being failed in the interview. Meanwhile MetLife laid off workers get hired by AiG and Corebridge due to their influential network of friends who have a strong say on who they want to hire and fire. Cannot understand the logic and doesn’t sound like a fair treatment. Any MetLife worker from their former life in the to be fired list at AIG or Corebridge have been saved. MetLife workers have been given the golden spoon of entry. AIG and Corebridge workers have been given toilet paper to flush themselves. What a pity!

Don’t fret about it, just rumors as usual. Do the minimum amount of work required and don’t worry about what may happen.

I confirm that in my Country, in Europe, we have been pre_alerted of coming layoffs but we don't know which dep. will be affected yet. Many people are leaving already so I don't see the need for it actually

The management should layoff everybody and sell whatever is left to Accenture and take their bonus with them. All these is happening due to offshore vendors selling every toilet paper made to the management.
