I want to leave Centene. I started looking for another job a couple of weeks ago. From what I can see, most health care and health insurance companies are having cost cuts, layoffs and offshoring sprees. Any ideas where would be good to apply beside usual suspects? I don’t expect any other corporation to be much better than Centene, but I just can’t stand it here anymore. Change of scenery would do me good. Thanks in advance for any ideas or advice.

It depends on what you know how to do. Don't just limit yourself to what you do here because there are thousands of people applying for those same spots. Hard to suggest things when no one knows what you do. Are you claims? Customer service? Service coordinator? Analytics? Is that all you know how to do or is there something that can lead you towards a completely different role? Hospitals, schools, clinics... Sky's the limit.
Try the consulting or temporary agencies for temp to perm at other companies.
I would recommend looking at Centene's vendor pool and work with some of the medium to larger companies and offer your skill set to the vendors that service the membership out there. Probably better off than doing a lateral move to another managed healthcare company that majority of current CNC employees are doing. Think a bit outside the box to standout instead of competing.
