Employees are its most valuable asset. Continuing to treat employees like we're nothing but a number that should be cut if at all possible is only hurting it. Productivity is down because people don't feel appreciated at best and abused by those around them at worst. This is not how a successful company functions.

@dnvc+1uhKe1ku sorry to hear. Hope you will be able to salvage at least a part of your immigration process journey and continue at a better place.
You are treated like a number, no value to your background and experience or the value you provide to them. most important thing atleast in my hierarchy is to be very politically correct. Completely discarded their promises on my immigration once project was over. A decade long of my life's effort spoiled in a day. so heartless.
Not much mention of the talented U.S. Bank workforce at Investor Day yesterday, just a casual mention of workforce reduction to improve operating leverage, which doesn't sit well with the analysts that truly understand financial services and the higher operating costs exceeding growth rates were flagged by most analysts. No mention of the large number of jobs being and to be ported overseas, no mention of the BNPL product nobody wants, nor the digital wallet waste of time and good money, the laggard stock price over the last decade, the money still owed MUFG Bank for the Union Bank acquisition and another two percent drop in the stock price on Investor Day.
You are right, this is why my last day was today. Managers Ask everyone is there anything we can do to cut cost, I was over there 👋 how about I help you and just give my notice! 😁
They literally destroyed our department through layoffs. Then restructured by putting a corporate peon in charge, filled the new procedures with tons of micromanagement and encouraged toxic behavior and promoted an a*-kisser to VP so they can reign over their little dukedom. Shortly after they rigged the game to make specific individuals look bad and then swept in with another layoff. Now all that's left are little shts who polish Management's boot or...whatever. Run from this company now.
Employees mean nothing to this company anymore. All we are is a number on the wrong side of an expense sheet. If they can find someone to do your job cheaper they will and they won’t care if they do it half as well as you. All they care about is money. We can give negative TTUS results and they will claim
It is only RTO stuff not the fact that the company is just a horrible place to work. They don’t care about us and we need to remember that, so use your vacation days, take your lunch break and stop working when you are sick.
This company is hostile to their employees. The first moment they figure out a way to get rid of you, you will be gone.

You hit the nail right on the head with that simple statement.
The rejoinder is, "Why bother?"
I've been with this company for a long time and this is the first time I've genuinely felt like the wheels are well and truly falling off the bus. Something significant changed within the last 8 months, and it's not only RTO. It's always been a corporation, but it never really felt like one. Now it feels like a giant corporation that is putting profits over people. To me, there used to be somewhat of a balance because it is still a business and tough choices have to be made. But now it feels cold and sterile with AC creating an echo chamber with his board. I'm hopeful that 2025 levels out, because the constant fear of layoffs is so so bad for morale. Like everyone is stressed TF out all the time.
Hence the plummeting Employee Survey Scores. Employees are finally providing "red" ratings and staying out of "grey" or "green." While RTO is driving dissatisfaction - so is the constant threat of layoffs. There are also other reasons - but the easy go-to answer by Senior Leadership for the declining survey scores is RTO. My advice: Take a deeper look at what drives these lower survey scores and do something about it. It isn't all RTO.
Couldn’t have said it any better. They’re spending so much time micromanaging and nitpicking this return to office policy. It shows they don’t care about the work you do. I’ve never felt less appreciated in the time I’ve worked here than this year. They’re treating us like kids and looking for any opportunity to catch you in a got you moment. Spoiled the culture and plenty of others that I talk to privately feel the same way.
Yes it’s strange. I work in a department that is like a decade behind and without it being my direct job trying to educate and bring everything up to date. Instead of a raise I get attitude and am constantly scared of lay offs.
No matter how hard I work there is no real pay off. The priority is always their RTO/real estate strategy. There is no incentive to be a high performer.
