Evelyn Lee, a longtime top executive at Truist Financial Corp., is leaving the regional banking giant to join EagleBank.
Lee, who until this week was the Greater Washington and Maryland market president at the $520 billion-asset Truist, will start at $11.3 billion-asset EagleBank, the banking subsidiary of Bethesda’s EagleBancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: EGBN), on Sept. 19. Her title will be chief lending officer for the commercial and industrial sector, an area where the bank has been looking to grow.
She held the title of Truist Bank's Greater Washington market president since 2019 and added the Maryland region to her responsibilities last year when Greg Farno retired from that role. She was with Truist and predecessor SunTrust Banks Inc. for 24 years, according to her LinkedIn page.
