You got protections in place for 2 years on salary, bonus, severance. But not a contract.

I believe employment at Accenture is at-will, they can lay you off anytime. During the first 2 years you’ll get TIAA’s severance package for a person and they count TIAA years of service, after that time if laid off you’ll get whatever Accenture offers and I don’t know if TIAA tenure matters.

Consulting contracts are easy to stop on the business side. It doesn’t guarantee a paycheck. Is there anything in place to say you will work at TIAA for the whole time? Accenture consultants travel every week to customers sites.

based on what I've read, I don't believe we will be getting a contract. FAQs I've seen say that if our position is eliminated we would receive a severance package in the amount that TIAA would have given.

Interestingly every company does layoffs. TIAA employees will get a two year contract. Compare this to the current TIAA employment contract of well let’s see who gets laid off this week.

I’m not downplaying the situation, but acting like TIAA is in a massive hiring phase and you aren’t at risk of losing your job here is shortsighted. This situation su-ks, but they aren’t moving people to lay them off in a couple months.
