Not sure if those commenting on H1Bs are truly Honeywell. H1B's are via yearly lottery and once here they can search for other jobs/sponsors. I would say most of our international employees are working on L-1 Visa which is much easier to get and gives the company more control over the employee. Married workers are allowed to bring family if over one year assignment and most want to stay in the U.S. They are paid at lower "home rate" wages plus housing/per-diem and work their butts off for the opportunity. Ever notice they always bring lunch? They are pocketing the per-diem and living as cheaply as possible. Those per-diems add up, so the company wants them back home as fast as the schedule allows. Need to make the quarterly numbers. Multinational corporate slavery.
I have done the H1B game multiple times with some of the people in my department. A lot of the open req's are not really open.

Back in the 90's I used to see ads in the IT mags for software engineers that had a listing of about 40-50 very specific skills with a pay range well below current going rates for those skills. This told me that there was a specific person in mind and the company had to justify the reason for hiring a H1B over a US citizen. This has been going on for decades.
The job reqs that you see are for h1b employees. They open the reqs to have US candidate apply and manager pretends to give a fair chance then its closed to tell US government that they did not find any suitable candidate. And it gives permanent residency to the h1b.
I have seen this in the past where HR closes requisitions. This is done so HR can reduce headcount and not be required to shift the individual into an open position. Honeywell got sued in the past for firing individual that could have been shifted into qualified open positions.
IMHO, if a CEO is out at 5-6 years, then it was either a money grab, or incompetence. With DA, it seems to have been both. VK has quite the hole to climb out of. Given the cuts so far, the hole is shallower, but it is still deep. I'm hoping for a VRIF. I'll take it.
it's wash, rinse and repeat. its been the MOS since the Blue/Red merger. It's shocking it hasn't caught up to yet. 3rd CEO in 20+ years and still QTR by QTR
This is the most important quarter we have ever faced. Whatever actions are needed to ensure corporate goals are met and stock price is boosted will be taken. Longer term goals are a problem for next quarter.
A repeating pattern. Sad.
