Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

I may sound naive

But it took the latest LR to make me realize how much I don’t like my job here anymore. Most people, I think, have a natural need to identify to an extent with their job/profession and by extension a company, and they expect some sense of progression, accomplishment, reward, anything that makes the professional journey worthwhile. I just stopped caring about my job here, and ever since I’ve been just going through motions. There is probably some of my burnout to be blamed, but CC slowly changing over time into a company one simply can’t identify with is at fault too. I’ve been here for a while, and I’m a bit sad it got to this point. I guess it’s just time to look for other opportunities.

You will not quit, just complain.

Yeah and today I was in a meeting where they added more and more nonsense into my plate and it was acceptable. I’m mentally drowning and this job has affected my health negatively and I’m thinking of resigning rather than waiting to get laid off

How long did you work for crown to get 1 year of severance?

Just a former CC employee trolling the board here and I felt the same even though I was placed on eternal PTO back in 11/2023. As we all know, there is life after Crown and it was almost a relief once it was over for me...the year of severance didn't hurt either. Wish all my former co-workers
the best!

Preach, same here.

Doesn't feel like anyone is on the same page anymore, feeling like your drowning everyday is not great.

I feel this. I’ve also been here for a minute, and I’m so very disappointed with its decline. It’s a completely different company compared to my Day 1.

I think that’s natural. I feel the same way despite my department normally not being part of any RIF. Where’s the carrot?
