Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

I wish mgmt is better organized and more competent

So this cr-p now doesn’t become a never ending soap opera. We all have decisions to make, plans in life, financial obligations, and quite frankly no nerves to spare on corporate bullsh-t. They are such drama queens, and bad at that. I can’t figure for the life of me why any of them is paid as much as they are.

This kind of stuff has been going on for decades. At CVX, they have been getting away with it because the ROMs or layoffs have been spaced out. It finally broke out in the open during the 2020 Transformation. It was a fiasco. Having to reapply for your job or something similar was a Hair brain d-mb idea. It was especially galling when we were told to not look for a promotion or any stretch position but only ones you were qualified for. This didn't seem to stop the HiPots and friends of management from getting their plum assignments. What was really troubling was the posting of the PDF which had people who survived the event and what job they had. It made it very easy to see who had moved ahead and who got su-kered into only applying for a similar posting. They can pick the winners and losers and there is nothing you can do about it except to find another job and leave.
