Was told today more rifs are 100% coming. Not sure of the timing or how many. Just that it’s company wide.
It's not October yet. It's every two weeks through March. Its so common, it's not even worth the board anymore.
Will my dept be impacted- no one can tell you 100%, but everyone should assume it's possible
Are there rifs this week? Usually a non-payment week which this is not. Just because someone's area isn't impacted one week doesn't mean it's not impacted the next time.
Who knows for sure? Very few people. Probably not your manager. VP or higher at min and even then who knows.
Just buckle up. It's a machine at this point. The machine doesn't care that you need the job. The machine doesn't care that you got a great review. The machine sees you as headcount and admin expense.
If you like your team or the people you work with it, just enjoy that part. There isn't a single person this machine wouldn't drive over to boost the stock. The people are who matter, so focus on that.
