Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Prediction: There will be a new CEO in January/February 2025

Pat will not be around to deliver the earnings call for Q4 2024 (which will be held in late January 2025). There will be a new CEO. There will be some MEGA announcements around the future of Intel at that time. Expect a complete clean house including the BoD, the ELT and most VPs.

I said it near the beginning of pat's tenure, he'll be in for his 4N5Y plan come he-l or high water and no objections agreed. That ends 2025 and I reckon the board is fed up and stressed that they'll kick him, get a new head and be happy that the stock goes up a tick

Until the next one ruins it worse

Spin-off isn't even necessary.
Parts can be sold off, and only the Foundry remains as Intel.

INTEL Client to Company X.
INTEL DCAI to Company Y.
INTEL NEX to Company Z.
Leftover 》"new" INTEL

If the outside investors Zinsner lined up balk it's game over. If they continue ponying up funds this could go on a while.

Spin off into two with both parts likely acquired by larger companies

Unless the new CEO is at Lisa Su's caliber, it will not matter much.

Won’t happen. Q3 24 results will be worse than forecast, Q4 will be forecast as yet another loss and it will come in even worse. Revenue will drop below $50 billion and will never surpass that level again. Because of the massive talent loss caused by poorly executed cost savings 18A will be delayed causing the products dependent on it to be delayed. PG will still be CEO and claim that it is all being caused by economic headwinds that never seem to impact the competition.

That will not help, they will pick some other grifter from outside Intel that knows nothing about Intel.

That would require some ba--s, which board clearly completely lacks.

January is too late. He will do so much more damage. Fire him now.
