VP of carbon capture lolll
Is that a real VP title or one of those GM titles pretending to be
IT gets so much clout at this company, I will never understand it, XOM doesn’t kiss ITs @55 and act like they are the real value adders like CVX does. Remember the upstream transformation. Losers like D.Bloss that have a van pool alarm go off in every afternoon meeting
SCM, the poodle faking empire.

New Energies is the embodiment of the Chevron mantra "Let's be seen to be doing something while delivering absolutely nothing". Dismantle it!
IT because we have a gazillion “technical” people with made up titles that are basically managing power points, excel spreadsheets
HRSS, no doubt. And that makes me wonder about the ENGINE. Is failure an option? Because it is a possibility.
Not a BU or specific function per se but how about flatten the structure and rid at least 3 layers of management. The company has determined in order to be efficient we must layoff and resort to cheap labor, however if decisions could be made more quickly with less red tape then it could run properly and make money. All these BU's and functions (for the most part) are valuable, not so much the management structure.
Abu HR. Full of incompetent egotistical women and men who identify as a he/she/them/their/ fluffers. 90 percent of Abu hr can be offshored and you wouldn’t even notice the difference
Can anyone explain what a Category Manager actually does and why there is no redundancy between a Category Manager and a Senior Contacts Advisor? As a customer, I can't workout why they are all involved in everything and why that's not considered redundancy in process efficiency?
CTC. All of it.
@goo+1uccjtFf: please elaborate ‘cause I heard MB decimated BREs in 2020
Executive Management Pay
ABU SCM hold.my beer, I have an agenda and actions arising free meeting in order to pad out my calendar.
Google ABU, redirects to narcissistic nepotism.
IT. Reason why they’re trying to find another way to cut costs and find cheaper work somewhere else. IT is expensive even in the shared services.
Subsurface digital platform
CTV
Any function working out of the canon (that robotics guy who uses to spout off about category theory)
ABU is a cesspool of over paid unqualified self entitled middle managers. SCM is the Mecca of "leaders" with no degrees, faked experience history that managed to get through the cracks early, promised the world and continue to deliver nothing infact should be trialed for gross incompentence and fiscal mismanagement. But that's ok because they know the latest buzzwords and kiss up!
SJV needs a huge colonic to get rid of all the high PSG’s that are just hanging onto the colon well and depleting the value of regular BM’s!!!
CBU can run wirh 5 people working remotely from Houston for 10% of the current G&A
ABU,so top heavy it makes you question gravity itself.
Just about everything in Houston minus the lost poor souls out in the failed Pasadena experiment…
Chevron.
SJV for sure
HR, Legal and Security
The generate internal business to keep each other employed with no value added to the bottom line
It is like failed states, the corrupt police (Security) is covered by corrupt judges (Legal) to keep a useless leader (HR) in power or with more power. RM is like Libyan Qaddafi.
Corruption and failure to the core. We can do with 10% of them hands down.
Some of the programs like Digital Core is also heavily bloated. They have army of process people doing nothing valuable...
MCBU for sure
MCBU, TCO, ABU, take your pick! Function wise can someone tell me what it is that IS/IT/Digital does now? Didn't they outsource everything to India already? How do you run a lean organisation with chapters and subchapters of nothings that can't make a simple decission? HR is another one that outsourced to the "shared centre", yet there is an army of people...doing what??
ABU and HR
I would say CBRES.
Procurement Operations. Why do you need that many highly paid individuals to do what most companies do on a spreadsheet? Answer: people like to build empires, on the false premise that it's "leaner".
