I managed to pull myself out of Cigna’s clutches. I was once putting a lot of effort into doing my job well. I wanted to prove to myself and the others that I was good at what I do. In exchange I got nothing, but experienced a lot of anxiety and stress from bad managers, backstabbing, and toxic culture. At one point I realized that I’m working against my own interests and that whole setup in Cigna is such that it makes you forget about what is good for you. I made a hard turn, reduced efforts to bare minimum, and used time at Cigna to look for a better job. I found it two months ago. Try it. It will do wonders to your health, self-esteem, and income.

@4dhm+1ucQlin4 You might be in denial you wasted time at Cigna. It’s okay, not to late to just do bare minimum and take care of you rather than thinking about a company that has more holes than Swiss cheese.
Why do I get the vibe this was written by HR to encourage attrition?
Agree. I also left for another opportunity at the start of the summer. My only regret is not leaving sooner and underestimating my own value. Reach out and grab the opportunity you want. You might need to message someone directly to get past the AI cr-p in HR, but do it to get noticed. You owe it to yourself.
Congrats. I love what you wrote about Cignas culture making you forget what is best for you. I love figuring out group dynamics and my supervisors hate me for it but anyway….i found the crux of Cigna management, in IFP as I’ve only ever worked in IFP is to destroy and crush your self confidence so you don’t speak up and are a doormat, they erase who you were, especially if they want to constructively terminate you. They do this in groups it’s not just a manager but a manager and team, especially if they have been working together a long time. Thanks for being so open in you post. Glad you left nothing will change at Cigna. Anyone who reads this and is being abused and thinking of quitting without a new job. DO NOT Quit! Go to HR and use some legal speak and you’ll get fired really fast and then you can collect or just do the least possible and look for another job.
I believe you and have been applying outside Cigna for a couple months now. Not even a bite. It's a new world trying to get past the automated AI resume services so many companies use.
