Anyone know what kind of severance CDW would offer if they did layoffs?

Note that only vacation is paid out - flex days and accrued sick leave is not. Use those days! I lost thousands of dollars by being "responsible" and not using sick leave.
Severance was determined on “base salary,” so take note if you have a role with compensation that is heavily impacted by bonus or commission.
1 week for every 1 year of service, Cobra, PTO paid out, job placement assistance. Special deals for directors and above. Possibly a little room to negotiate in a special circumstance. NDA with acceptance. Always make sure your emergency funds are beefed up.
When I asked this question last year, multiple folks referenced a gag order in the severance agreement that deters former coworkers from disclosing the amount they received. The National Labor Relations Board ruled that those gag clauses in severance offers are illegal, so if anyone is still in touch with someone who was let go, let them know that they are allowed to disclose the terms.
What su-ks the most is that the severance gets paid in one lump sum - so it’s very heavily taxed. My net was only 55% of the gross.

Relax, now that interest rates are going down again if you get nabbed by the "hr alien" odds are you won't be on the sidelines for long. Plan a graceful exit not like the Steven Slater one...Steven Slater, a veteran flight attendant announced over the plane's public address system that he had been abused by a passenger and was quitting his job. He then grabbed and guzzled two beers and exited the plane by deploying the evacuation slide and sliding down it.
i just wish if they were planning a layoff they would let folks know ahead of time so that we can plan properly. but you can sh-t in one hand and pray in the other.
That is about right. Plus a swift kick in the tush.
