I’m sure more lay offs will come. They’ve already outsource claims and other departments to the Philippines in India. So there’s no doubt that more departments will now be handled over seas! (Yikes ) how’s everyone experience with the Philippines? Keep hearing negative things !

@3xke+1uaaoCjR. You are right i found this article:https://www.sunstar.com.ph/amp/story/iloilo/carelon-global-solutions-expands-operations-targets-iloilo-as-hims-hub
Established in 2018 as Legato Health Technologies Philippines, the company rebranded in 2023 to align with its vision of becoming a trusted healthcare partner.
In Iloilo City, Carelon currently employs around 3,800 people, with plans to increase to 4,000 by the end of the year.
With a current workforce of over 9,000 employees across four facilities in the country, two in Manila and two in Iloilo, Carelon aims to increase its total headcount to 10,000 by the end of the year. —
Yikes !!
@7jp...I and many others feel your frustration!! We experience the same or similar on our team and I am sure others do as well. I also blame our company and greed!!!
We are giving our jobs and livelihoods to offshorefolks and bringing more here to take even more of of jobs. It is our company and greed to blame!!! I have a huge issue with some of the associates from India...some but not all play a game!! They play d-mb, then ask onshore peers for help to find what they need to get their jobs done quickly and ahead of schedule and then try showing us up by asking for more work. I feel like we are being played like a fiddle!!! Again...this certainly does not apply to all!
Affected by these RIFs but I agree we cant blame india or offshore. They were hired by the company. There are alot of whites and blacks messing around too doing bad work so not an offshore thing.
While at work, I try to remember it is not their fault- they are just doing a job in a way they know how to do, still very difficult to try and fix their issues and just communicate on TEAMs, that being said….as a customer I am beyond frustrated and angry trying to just get my prescription deliveries…. Gone are the days of our almost seamless auto refill/deliveries we had before carelon. I feel for those customers trying to get special meds, DME, procedures, and hospitalizations covered. It is so sad. What happened to this Blue Cross/ Blue Shield?
Provider’s offices & pharmacies are infuriated when they call in. They are starting to become aggressive when it comes to being routed offshore. They are demanding to be transferred to someone from the US. I see this as very problematic.
Been hearing horrible experience about them! Lots of abrasion, lots of sc--w ups. What happen to anthem!? They use to be a good place to work for.
Yup legato changed their name to Carelon. Same people , same horrible service from the people in the Philippines and India !
Legato was horrible. So you are saying they just changed their name?
@3lrv+1uaaoCjR Legato was rebranded (in the US) as Carelon. All the offshore in India IS “Legato”
Whatever happened to Legato, or whatever the he'll they were called
There is a role to be filled with a desired outcome. Regardless of who fills the role, the role should be filled and judge accordingly. If lowering the bar to accommodate cheaper labor - fine - say it. However, if the story is same quality at a cheaper price then individuals impacted have every right to call it out. Part of the pitch is same or better service delivered and that’s a lie.
Carelon is worse company I have ever worked for, I cannot get out of here fast enough!
Remember Philippines does not have health insurance so their only knowledge is from training. I am not Filipino but I have family who is and lives in the Philippines. They can’t be faulted for not being perfect in English or what is happening within the company. They are just trying to support their families and live a good life. If you want to blame anyone blame the CEO and everyone making the decisions to move jobs from America to Ireland, India and the Philippines.
I have a lot of experience with the work that's been offshored for years now. Key phrases "provider abrasion" "member abrasion"
U say potato he says tomato. Who cares about Grammer or spelling. This is a layoff website. Lets rock this hole
An INflammable means the same thing as flammable.
You know APART means something different than A PART, right?
