I’m curious to know what the bulling is like in your BU? Have you EVER had a good outcome from a complaint before? Has chevron EVER done anything tangible?

HR, Ombuds, Legal, management and even the EAP are there to protect Chevron and will work hard to make you quit before helping because the bully is never the problem—you are the problem because you dare to defend yourself in a company where nobody is accountable.
From a complaint? HARD NO. New question: what is the most effective way to deal with bullying and targeted gaslighting toxic politics, without formally launching any complaints? You can't let the a$$hole win.
Its a shame hypocrisy isnt a metric Wall St cares about. If so Chevron would be the world leader they claim to strive for. The comp policies dont mean anything. HR, EAP and Legal are not on your side and will always support the more senior person when it comes down to it. Chevron claims its takes retaliation seriously. Well, that definition of "what is retaliation" will always be what is in the best interest of the Company. Legal and HR only care if a Federal, State or Local law has been broken.
they will use paper work and forms to justify that everything is done in accordance to policies
Don't rely on Chevron's policies and procedures. They will not be followed by HR.
HR & legal are not there for you. Their stated purpose is to protect the manager who is bullying. Expect punishment for filing a complaint, it is the Chevron Way.
Toughen up wimps. Life is not a kindergarten party
HR was not helpful at all when it came to this in CBU
I know a senior manager who was accused of bullying and it impacted his career pretty hard for a year or two. The accusers, while honest, didn't fare so well and most left the company. If you want to raise a case, it needs to be air tight, documented, corroborated and lead to termination at the minimum if not criminal charges.
Our platform has one extreme case of bullying, however nothing was done, at Chevron it really is who you know that matters.
We had one 'win' but in defence of management that tried everything to support the person: 10 years of very positive reports and ratings, promotions, recognitions despite knowing and sending the person to another location to get away from him. Unfortunately the person concerned went but the blind supporters remain.
