Fiber Sale Announcement

It’s definitely being announced during the Earnings call on Oct 16th, praying for TPG. They moved the Q3 fiber recognition call from the 16th to the following Friday, and pretty much all team meetings are being moved from the 16th to the next day or Friday

Towers just knows how to set and forget! Hahaha, that's why Purple PooPoo Palace reaks of manure. They are all bumps on a log!!

If Crown keeps fiber, it'll be a big mistake. They never knew how to run a fiber company. Tower people don't know sh!t about it.

Imo (assuming and hoping it’s TPG) they’re going to look to use the Small Cells as access points for autonomous vehicles and ai needs, based on what I heard about the PE being interested in SCs in addition to fiber before the leak about TPG being the PE. Looking at long term investment with low short term gains and pretty good organic growth from fiber. Looking at TPGs current holdings, it makes.sense. It’s not like fiber isn’t profitable now

Crown's small cell sites in dense urban areas are fully dependent on existing Verizon and AT&T owned fiber anyway.

Small cell waste of money and dragging the enterprise side down with it.
Another bad decision from the head purple CLOWN.
Get rid of it!

@1uzl+1uUOS1Cg Literally one of the d-mbest things I’ve read on this site lol.

“Yeah, let’s not take this $8-10B for all of it or half that for a 51/49 split with PE, instead let’s keep only OPs and shut fiber down as a whole after all of our totally only 12 month contracts are up”

Crown can't keep fiber. They'll shut it down if they keep it. Just keep ops until all their 12 month contracts run out.

I mean something is definitely being announced about the Fiber sale on the 16th, whether it’s that Fiber is being sold or that Crown is keeping it.

When the 16th comes and goes with nothing announced what are you guys going to do? There will be no sale and your severance isn’t coming. Looks like you will have to either do work at crown or find a new job. I hope the complainers find a new job because life will be better without them. Chances are they won’t and they will then complain how crown should’ve sold.

Looks like either Zayo or TPG will buy the fiber assets. I wouldn't want to work for either so hopefully they soon give the option of voluntary separation for severance benefits.

Big deal they announce it then what. You think they have got down to the IC level of what’s happening. That is months and months away. It will be just more people complaining and not doing work.

Fiber is profitable, just not nearly as profitable as towers sitting and getting rent. It’s in a similar phase that towers were 20-25 years ago when they were being built out. Shareholders want profit now, not single digit profit margins on high cap products. Large PEs on the other hand will be fine with that and the organic growth we have while fiber continues being built out.

I pray it’s only fiber and we can go back to doing our jobs and getting rid of the unprofitable “contractor model”
