Thread regarding Palo Alto Networks Inc. layoffs

PANW Layoffs

In reality, PANW layoffs really never stop. By the time the management is done with one round, planning for the second one starts. It's like a neverending cycle. It's so disheartening to see what's going on and how much insecurity the worker faces nowadays. And all of this is happening while C-level folks are pilaging the corporate accounts and are getting wildly rich along the way. I guess it's the way how the modern economy works.

PC situation is a failure of strategy and leadership, not talent of those tasked to make the impossible happen.

Take note of Accenture laying off it's entire PC teams. Nuf said.

Never formal layoffs (but seriously ongoing perpetual attrition w/hiring under 35)

Follows the same logic as the so called "Unlimited Vacation" (which really means never vacation)

Common denominator = Hide from regulation. Keep $$ for Top Execs via Siphon profit sharing (push out people to limit vesting) and limit vacation payout.

Whoever made the comment about someone being a 'PC specialist without talent' will find out soon enough when PC goes away (and possibly him/her with it). Wake up.

Ummm. Palo isn’t doing layoffs. They work hard to ensure everyone has a role - even when markets shrink. You’re making this sh-t up. You sound like a PC specialist with no talent.
