Thread regarding Belk layoffs

HR

we all know wanting to take the PTO we are owed is a sin at belk, but when i approached the hr lead asking about when i can take my time off i was told that i would have to lose the time i earned because there was no time left to take it. she claimed that days that weren't blacked out according to the calendar could not be taken as pto... this is in the raleigh area. she just straight up lied about the blackout dates... i saw the calendar posted and it was limited time with approval. how did nonsense like this become acceptable? and you can't even complain because it's hr who is doing it (not that they care about the actual humans in human resournces anyways) i feel like i work at a prison lol time to freaking go!

You should contact corporate HR. Although, they are just as bad. Depending on the state you live in you can quit and they have to give you a check for your pto.

Up to 40 hours will roll over in to next year. You must take them before April of next year or you will lose them.
