Layoffs - Large and wide. It was pushed back because of Yammer post of employee telling all those impacted to contact their local news organization about the constant cuts. Now that has died down expect more cuts.

Did anyone get a screen grab of the post?
The mentioned tax incentives vary largely by state. For USB in the Midwest atleast, the tax incentives are regional based, not butts in seats based at office ABC. Meaning they get tax incentives for remote employees too where they have the largest presence in MN and WI. Nice try though
Cities and states offer tax incentives to have employees in the office. Who offers tax incentives for employees to work remote? No one. As each in office employee resigns, they will force other remote employee back in the office to reach their tax credit goals.
I’d be worried if I was remote even though I’m a firm believer in remote work. USB is desperate to save money.
"There’s employees that live within a commutable distance and were not assigned a hub today while there peers were. Perhaps they were not assigned to a hub because they will be getting laid off. Sound logical?"
Yes, if we think in a straight forward manner. But that's not at play here. You've got to think like a psychopath. The whole premise of RTO is to squeeze certain employees to voluntarily resign from their jobs. Looking from that angle I'd say those NOT assigned to a hub are safer than those assigned to a hub.
Would love to see my manager on the list this week

"Will those that remain remote be the first to be laid off?"
I'm unable to follow this logic. While being remote might lean towards it I doubt that it IS the reason for a lay off.
Get your bingo cards ready 😜

Any particular roles in Wealth Management?
Wealth management layoffs this Thursday, right before the sales meeting.
A nice bank run would be in order.
Today employees in many markets were notified that they would be RTO. Will those that remain remote be the first to be laid off?
Someone made a Yammer post on the USB intranet? That's pretty brazen. I thank whoever it was for leaking. So that means layoffs are pushed up one week early? It was previously reported on here that Layoffs would happen on Oct 18th and again on Nov 15th. I missed the Yammer post. Which areas are impacted?
