Imagine how many people’s lives have been changed drastically because of the failure of intel, which in turn was the result of the crazy CEO and his inept ELT. 20,000 people.
- Thousands who were about to retire got an unexpected payday a few years earlier.
- Thousands who had checked out years ago given Intel’s lax standards and were simply collecting paychecks also got an unexpected payday along with actual retirement
- Thousands in mid-career forced to make life changing decisions. Moves to different cities or states, different career paths, buying/selling houses to move.
- Thousands of early-career employees forced to make life altering decisions just as they were trying to get established.
Pat and ELT and the board should really do some self reflection here and be ashamed of themselves for changing the life trajectories of thousands of families. Meanwhile, the company will bear an extraordinary cost for these separations to the tune of $10-$15 billion, driving it even closer to bankruptcy.
But guess what, Pat and ELT continues to make hundreds of millions of dollars per year. Absolutely criminal negligence.
