UNION STATEMENT
Cassa Integrazione: meeting with Company Management on 16/9
September 17, 2024
The first meeting following the company's communication of its intention to resort to the CIGO (Ordinary Earnings Integration Fund)
procedure, transmitted to the RSU/OO.SS on 10 September, took place yesterday afternoon (in the presence of the Company
Management, the Trade Unions, the RSU of Milan/Rome/Turin, Assolombarda).
During the meeting, the company confirmed the reasons already expressed for resorting to the procedure and provided a few other
elements relating to the methods of carrying it out.
The exclusion from the CIG procedure has been declared for some workers, both male and female, engaged in specific projects
deemed by the company to be "strategic", as well as for some specific professional skills.
The remaining Kyndryl staff will be impacted by the Cassa Integrazione program, up to a maximum of 650 people across the three
locations, with the following distribution:
Segrate: up to a maximum of 300 workers out of 419
Turin: up to a maximum of 165 workers out of 213
Rome: up to a maximum of 185 workers out of 375
with a maximum reduction in working hours of 16 hours per week, distributed in a manner and organisation to be defined by department
and role and with the possibility of non-consecutive weeks.
The information received yesterday from the Company Management did not add the information necessary to carry out an analysis
on the need to resort to CIGO and even less to be able to make alternative proposals to the company or proposals that could
reduce the impact of CIGO on workers.
The trade unions and the RSU have formulated specific questions and requests, including:
• Visibility also indicative of financial results for fiscal year 2024 and industrial plan for fiscal year 2024-2025
• Planning and organization of CIG shifts (spreading over the weeks, vertical/horizontal distribution, communication methods, etc.)
• Company wage supplement in addition to the INPS supplement already provided for by law
• Management of TFR installments, thirteenth salary, holidays/code 99, Ticket Restaurant, other related institutions
Two further meetings have been scheduled in the short term on Friday 20 and Tuesday 24 September, to obtain the requested
information, to be able to analyse it, so that the trade unions and the RSU can prepare a series of requests aimed at reducing, if
accepted by the company, the effects of the CIGO.
