RTO - Leaders\Managers

Anyone know what is being done with all the leaders\managers who are outside of whatever radius they are using for RTO? The hypocrisy around demanding that folks come in 3 days a week, yet not leading by example isn't a good look. One would assume that they will need to relo within radius of a hub, but we all know that won't happen.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Why target the managers? Simply put, you cost a lot of money. There aRena large number of “spreadsheet managers” at USB and sit in on TEAMS meetings to ki-l the day. They produce nothing other than saying they are a “people leader”. The managers that are producing are meeting with external clients to bring in money to the organization. We need worker bees 🐝 that bring in the honey 🍯. Not fat queen bees laying around.

... and so begins the divide n conquer. Why target managers only? There are several individual contributors who do nothing all day as well. Target them too. This type of mentality is exactly what the minions committee is hoping for so the work environment stays depressed and people leave on their own. You guys are walking straight in to it.

Downvote away!

Gunjan is going to ask for data data data from HR regarding compensation. If money can be saved by axing remote managers, I would bet that she takes that action. Her McKinsey background will leave no stone unturned for cost savings. I’m expecting spreadsheet RIFS. Goodbye overpaid under engaged management, you can’t hide forever.

Not really sure what's going on with managers at my location. Some who have to drive in from another city are being asked to come in, but I've heard there are others who live in the same city who are coded as home-based. Makes no sense at all.

If management does not live within a commutable distance they should be given the option to relocate or take severance. If RTO is a cost savings measure, which it most definitely is, then cutting management roles will save the most 💰

Managers are being asked to come into the office if their commute is reasonable, like 50-60 miles.
