Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

What’s with all the rumors about layoffs next week?

We know about Greenville. But the rumor mill is all about layoffs in other places as well. Anyone know more?

| The prediction of today or tomorrow was based on the fact that previous
| layoffs were on the day of paychecks or the day before.

Where I used to be (and fortunately left of my own accord) it was the end of the pay period, not payday, that seemed to trigger these activities. I wonder if Hell3H has converged onto a common pay calendar.

And companies seem to like to get these moves done by the end of the year... right around the holidays.

I don’t think they’d do layoffs in the midst of hurricanes! Next week forsure is the week.

Isn’t today the day for layoffs? Or were the rumors unfounded

Regarding the NDA that someone mentioned to get severance, what was the extent of that, ie what info was protected by it? Layoff? Everything about L3Harris? General criticisms of the company? …

They are doing layoffs every 6 months. They need another 5 to 10%.

Re: The silence in Waco is deafening. Weekend shift is being absorbed to day shift on Monday the 21st. My guess is that there will be a layoff shortly after. There just isn’t enough work to employ all that we have here.

This is true. We lost Hades, the main C130 program is close to ending after the first of the year, and we are too top heavy in most areas to be able to absorb all of that bloat. We have no choice really, somethings gotta give.

“Malabar may be closing” is proof of the utter nitwits on this site.

Malabar is currently hiring for dozens of positions. They’re not closing.

In April, I was part of a large group of people who were laid off. We were all required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to receive any severance. I was let go without any notice, leaving me without insurance or the ability to provide for my family unless I signed the agreement.

The shifty characters in legal and HR are able to skirt that requirement if there is only so many/% at a certain location/region. They know how to manipulate the numbers so they dont have send a WARN notice. no WARN sent in April and that was a large # of folks.

Malabar is SAS. SAS is a complete sh-t-show. TR3 is a money pit. We must put down the Kube!

Does anyone know if the WARN website will show L3Harris’s layoffs? I thought companies were required to give WARN notice.

Worry about the things you can control, not the things you can't. You can quell the fear easily, just find a new opportunity. This organization is like the cheating spouse that you can never trust, they blew it.

Seems another round of layoffs, similar to those in April, is being planned for the coming week. It’s unfortunate that poor management at the top is contributing to these challenges. Like April, employees may receive little to no notice. Wishing everyone the best during this time.
