Former AIG employee here. Just heard about the most recent layoffs. How the company isn’t already down the cr-pper is beyond me. they don’t know how to cut costs other than laying off long tenured employees? Why are they so short sited? The culture is so toxic I don’t know why anyone would stay. The grass is indeed greener on the other side. There are companies that actually care about their employees. Start looking and don’t stop.

@3idc+1uOwoNew (@Bye) same here, I'll be gone before the end of the month and I'm sad to leave my team, but you don't get better while at the place that got you sick in the first place. The grass may not be greener out there, but it's definitely new and more exciting than this living corpse called AIG.
I'm indeed looking for a new job, it's time to part... I'm a little sad because I met mostly great persons here, but now I feel like I'm trapped by the stockholm syndrome. I'm getting used to be abused by the company's nasty and toxic culture, and I don't want that, I want to be treated as a human being that contribute to the success of the company, not a sack of meat that eats into CEO's bonus and have to be erased ASAP
I just left AIG and life has been amazing really shows you how embarrassing everyone who works there is and how useless they are. Life on the other side is great good pay and great culture.
@1lbg+1uOwoNew Corebridge is not AIG. Cry me a river.
Corebridge has been made incompetent by MetLife management that came over. AIG eating its own stool.
Mind boggling how these decisions are being made. The big dogs could've saved a boatload of clams by embracing work from home and eliminating huge overhead costs by getting rid of useless office space that's outdated and disliked by most employees. Could've retained and attracted talent by showing such forward thinking vision and saved money at the same time. But instead we're seeing all this RIF. If it wasn't for the pesky fact that you need employees to do the actual work...
There is no use panicking if you are corebridge or AIG. They are still going to lay you off. Corebridge meta life manageme will bring their MetLife colleagues on. Why even bother talking about stuff that you cannot change only can watch.
