Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

Transition

Now slowly we are realizing , this partnership is not good for us. Many of us losing the license, downgrading our band level. When you will be redeployed it's not just re-skilling, you would interviewed again Accenture internal team as new Clients.

I heard their goal is to make Ex TIAA employees work a he-l so they quit before 2 years after providing KTs to Accenture low wage employees and off shore. If you survive 2 years of he'll, rest assured you will be fired after 2 years

Accenture will lay off the non IT folks in no time and outsource it to India once the KT is done. They would rather pay the severance pay and will save more money in the longer run, due to cheap labor.

How you are thinking about this is a false dichotomy. Your options were never going to be stay at TIAA if we didn’t sign a deal with Accenture. If you are moving, you were going to lose your job to overseas or lose your job in a transition to different company. We are too expensive, you would have lost your job in some way in the near future anyways. This gives you a chance to figure something out. Being mad because you think you were safe here is just completely incorrect.

Remember, salaries will be a lot lower after the 2 years are done.
