Thread regarding Aetna layoffs

All the usual signs of bottom-line driven layoffs

Skilled and competent are being let go. People who have been here for a while and are ‘older’ (meaning approaching 50 or over) are being heavily impacted. Everybody who actually knows their stuff has been at a much higher risk of being impacted in this round than the rest. What a lazy way to conduct layoffs.

We will see from the WARN act. It’s all there. They are laying off from the bottom. We aren’t looking top down. The layoffs are about bad mergers. We aren’t working within parameters for individual businesses. We fail necause you can’t have management operating a pbm, like insurance, like retail. Very different business models

The layoffs were done by position elimination, not age, tenure, or performance.

Where's your proof? The last two Aetna layoffs were a box of young through to old with and without years of tenure.
