Why is “corporate real estate” part of HR? Make it make sense

It is because they help move people and their personal things from cube to cube and they’re doing it within the company’s real estate or the buildings they own.
I have it on good authority that Facilities will soon be reporting to IT.
i don't know but we have reorgs every time i blink so there's always the chance that it'll be realigned somewhere else.
Why not? HR is focused on getting & keeping employees and Facilities is focused on having enough seats for butts.
What is your beef with them being together?
