Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Who else has decided not caring with big layoffs coming in October?

Huge layoff next month because bank have to meet their new goal of Operation efficient, meaning more layoff coming, on top of all the September layoff.

I just don’t care anymore

I take pride in the fact that I have given my very best to this bank. I also am mindful that there are certain decisions which are not in my control. Thankfully I've saved enough to last me for a while so if they decide to lay me off then so be it. Not getting worried over it. Something else will come by in due time.

I don’t want to be laid off, but I can’t bring myself to care about it much anymore.

At this point I hope they all eat their words and choke cause I’m just so over this bank. We have reached the rock bottom and there is no way they climb out of this mess. Confidence lost.

I'm with you OP. Tired of this dump. Everything is F'd up and all middle to upper mgmt does is hold and schedule meetings on team. All day, continuously.

That’s probably why they will layoff in October, clear book for 2025, enough time for the 60 days notice, if applicable.

They will probably give your lump sum severance this year, so 2025 is clean in their book

If you get laid off in October is it possible to delay the severance until 2025 for tax reasons?
