For once, I'm prepared for layoffs. Considering everything that's been happening, for the last few months I've been working hard to put myself in the position that would soften the blow of being laid off to the maximum. I applied, I networked, I saved, and I even took some courses. I'm not hoping to be laid off, but knowing I'll be okay if I am makes all the difference.

I'm so sick of this nonsense. Going back to school and leaving corporate America forever is a clear path out of this seasonal nonsense.
