Another Layoff and Outsourcing?

I truly think if we do another major layoff with a fancy name like "Transform to Win" will set the company up on a path of destruction that will end this historic company. We have already cut to the bone in some areas and sending jobs overseas is only going to make things worse as the quality is not there in many cases. It's also the right thing to do as an American company to not hurt people here. If the shareholders want a future for this company they need to speak up and oppose all this mess.

Let’s talk about work-life balance, or as I like to call it, absolute bull💩 being sold as “we care.” While having a conversation about burnout, which was laughable in and of itself, I realized that my workload had increased yet again.

I wish I weren’t trapped in this God-foresaken hellhole. I can only hope that, as they continue to squeeze more and more out of us, when I finally drop from a heart attack or stroke, I keel over at work, so they’ll have to count me in their metrics. My family & best friend have instructions on what to publish in my obituary, should this happen.

The biggest joke going is work-life balance as headcount declines and amount of work increases while merit and CIP shrink. For a company supposedly full of engineers, nearly all of them cant do the math.

People are not interchangeable. Chevron was built by a certain kind of American. We cannot third-world our way into winning.

Chevron was never a visionary or particularly creative company. Our SLT is just doing what XOM management did 5 years ago. XOM seems to be doing okay for investors but absolutely tragedy for employees.
