Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Gainwell-NTT Data Partnership: Big Changes Ahead?

There's talk going around that Gainwell Technologies is about to form a partnership with NTT Data, where roughly 300 employees will move under NTT while still working on Gainwell projects. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out, especially if some people choose not to transition to NTT. I’m sure there will be some celebrations around this deal.

Anyone transitioning to NTT, beware. This company has two RIF’s each year, one in March and one in November. This has been ongoing since 2015. No positions are eliminated, just the people so the position and job responsibilities can be moved to someone in India. You will also be tasked with training your replacement in exchange for your severance.

My theory is there will be layoffs associated with this partnership. Gainwell has been looking to offshore server administration for a while now, and with this they could still have some support through NTT for the accounts that require US soil support, but then turn over the remaining support to Tech M.

The rumored date for this (Nov. 1) is rapidly approaching...

This same rumor is being passed through our section. Like me, there are others praying this is not mere rumor and eventually we can get away from our current manager/supervisors

Maybe move on to where we can have an actual career

An HMS guy was absolutely responsible for Tech Mahindra. Keep ignoring facts though.

Zebra is 100% right, we are all one company BUT, HMS guy is not to blame for Tech M or anything else. Wasn’t this the DXC way? HMS may have offshored some work but did not have weekly WFR’s like this place. But hey, blame the new guy as always.

HMS is Gainwell. Gainwell is to blame. The Zebra is right. If you think all these other companies are to blame for Gainwell sinking then you are part of the problem. Gainwell chose to buy those companies and merge a bunch of things together.

An HMS guy is responsible for this Tech Mahindra nonsense as well.

I love how Gainwell continues to blame all these old companies. Some of them don’t even exist anymore. But in reality Gainwell needs to look within. It’s not a bunch of defunct companies that are to blame for the failures of Gainwell. Gainwell is calling the shots. And Gainwell is failing. I won’t go over all the reasons again that have been me ruined multiple times. However Gainwell needs to look in the mirror instead of playing the blame game.

It just might be time for a new CEO and leadership team. Some new owners. And a massive sell off of some parts of Gainwell.

Success is going to need some drastic change to be achieved.

You think it's just those two? HMS may as well have been an Indian company. Doing the needful and what not.

Fake posts of someone getting an offer and coming here to share is just disgusting!

Fear mongering will affect only a handful. Other crooks from EDS or Molina are going to continue to su-k Gainwell dry and then leave. Only mass layoffs can transform Gainwell.

Boomers LOVE India and China that's why they sent all our jobs there.

Like “hire more fake VP/Dir, fire more doers!”

Old farts who think their retirement is safe, think again! Those who are close to retirement (about with 5 years) will get stress/anxiety and die of heart or brain problems!

Smart are those who will quit and save the trouble. Greedy old farts will suffer mental health problems.

I agree Vicky.

Don’t listen to all the noise about leaders and finances and ethicality. Just prioritize getting out of this company.

Run to the nearest exit.

Just sent an email giving my notice.

It is such a relief.

Good luck to all of you. Stay strong. Focus on finding an exit. Make that your priority.

Now as consultants you are responsible for total tax burden with no vacation/holidays/sick days/401k/company portion health benefits/unemployment AND no severance for this type of coordinated sl--e y layoff. If Trump becomes president though it’s possible you won’t be taxed on your overtime worked. It’s Trickay!

I doubt anyone will have a problem with transitioning to a $30B company like NTT if it means they get to leave Gainwell.
