DOE believe that the continuous layoff fears are negatively impacting the mental well-being of our employees?
How do some of you maintain positivity in the face of constantly evolving circumstances and diminishing job security.

Sounds like HR is the problem.
Toxic managers get protected just as much as non-performers do.
Alteryx 4 All.
Yes. I've had HR tell me that PIP/PAC plans are worthless also.
Correctamundo. We had multiple layoffs. There's no PIP/PACs. HR trashes those. More important things at play.
Sounds like HR is the problem. People are let go very quickly at my current company for performance reasons. And they are orders of magnitude more woke than Fu-kteryx.
It is insanely hard to fire an employee for performance reasons at Alteryx. Even if they fall under no protection from various laws. Outright impossible if they do fall under any sort of protection. This includes layoff protection.

Easier said than done but I spoke with a lot of people, therapists, mentors, colleagues, friends, career coaches etc and it really helped to distill down to a few ideas.
First thing, is your despair coming from not knowing whether to stay or go? Or is it that you have decided to leave and but having a hard time getting the next gig? If it's the second scenario it's more straightforward. You really focus on writing down what you want, what's your ideal outcome and put all of your energy there. After a week or so you will find your focus shifting to where you want to get to, and less time and energy on the internal situation. I'm not telling anyone to quiet quit but we have limited energy and need to use it in the right place.
If you haven't already, take a hard look at finances. Once that's in place, you have less to worry about. It looks like there's slightly more jobs out there now, I think if we are well prepared it's a numbers game and eventually something will come about.
I’ve been surfing pr0n sites 6-8 hours a day for the past 6 months now.
That’s a lot of hours.
Are you losing track of time and consuming that much content in one day?
Congrats on hitting those high notes.

Lots of dr-gs and therapy.
Interesting. I’ve been surfing pr0n sites 6-8 hours a day for the past 6 months now. I’m female too. And like the previous poster also not in marketing. Guess everyone has their own way to cope, lol.
Yep, drinking a full six-pack of Lagunitas IPA every day while working. I just pour it into a Starbucks insulated coffee mug when I’m on Teams calls. Makes the day go much better & faster!! Woohoo!
I thought I was the only one doing this to cope. No im not in Marketing =)
Best option is to get another job.
Signals are strong that the company will degrade. Your odds are better switching, rather than staying.
Like the Monty Hall problem in statistics, some people are reluctant to leave where they’ve already landed, even if leaving is the better statistical choice.
My husband has been packing hemp brownies into my lunch bag on the days I go into the office or travel with colleagues. That helps.
Many have turned to day-drinking and other activities. When there's seemingly no hope, one must find a way to cope.
