Cap1 Plano culture and PIP

Thinking of joining a role in Cap1 plano site. Wondering if it will be a good fit- how the culture is, toxic ppl monitoring what time youre in or out? Are everyones teams based out of Plano? Do y’all go in the morning and stay until end of day or the managers are flexible enough to let you leave early for traffic etc. Heard ppl get put on PIP often by managers, is it true across depts? Need some insights before onboarding. Dr appts need pto usage or managers allow flexibility? Are there many good managers at all? Bonuses- how do they look? Role- it product

Thanks for your response. Im the one who posted the question. That lack of transparency is ridiculous! I’m so sorry youre having to go through this and hope things get better for you if you are working on the PIP or looking for another job- May you find the best one out there for you!

Curious if you are able to confront manager for blindsiding you with the PIP- no warnings or anything and you said the balance and culture before this was great.

i am at the plano office and got put on a PIP and was honestly surprised and disagreed with a lot of the “evidence” that was shared about why i was put on one. at least i was shocked until i started talking to coworkers about it and found out there are lots of people being put on PIP right now.

i will say before all of this mess at mid-year to now, i really enjoyed my time working here. the people were great, work life balance was good. it just seems like there’s some lack of transparency from leadership on why they’re utilizing PIPs right now to get rid of people.

As far as in office expectations/leaving early, it really depends on your team. It differs from LOB to LOB how strict they are on it. There is a minimum # of days you have to go in each month to be “compliant” (and they don’t share the specific number as far as i know), but if you are out of compliance you get a few warnings before any action is taken. and for time at the office to count as a “full day” towards the min. required, you have to be connected to the wifi for at least 4 hours. so if you needed to leave a bit early to avoid traffic, you should be okay unless your manager is a jerk
