My department issued numerous RTO warnings today. Those receiving the notices were not in office at least 90% of the 3 day requirement between March and August.
Not sure if this is a department only or bank wide review.
Our division head is sort of a clown shoe. They moved permanently to their vacation home on Sunset Key during COVID and of course have the WFH prize.

They still have not figured out a way to pull in OoO time into the RTO metrics. I was tracking really well until I took a couple vacations this summer which dropped my numbers over 25% for two separate months. Worthless data.
They made it pretty clear that it was going towards your bonus potentially if you did not follow the rules. Sadly, you don’t follow the rules you go on notice. I don’t know why that is. Shocking for anybody. Yes it su-ks but don’t expect a different result or a unicorn job somewhere else some banks although not publicized are wanting people to come in full-time. They just tell you two or three days to make the job look appealing, however, they will not say it is remote
What do you suppose they would do if no one showed up for work at the office and just kept RFH? Really, something to consider. In numbers there is power.
U.S. Bank is rapidly becoming very unbalanced. Offshore or layoff, and a shrinking number of people remain to keep bank running. Then you have all the box tickers and taskmasters who contribute nothing other than making the bank dysfunctional... yet they always keep their jobs.
"Good luck finding a fully remote job that matches the salary you’re making now. They are not out there. Finding a good paying hybrid job is the best you can do."
Maybe, maybe not. But one won't know unless one tries.
If you think those with tenure of decades at the bank did it just for the money then you're mistaken. Company culture, WLB, being treated with respect and dignity were all important considerations along with the compensation. Now that the company culture has started to rot from within (thanks to the incompetent executive workers in-charge) it only makes sense for one to move away from a long-term perspective where one can grow and earn more again without all the McKinsey minions cr-p to deal with.

This article say RTO is just a wat to get you to quit so they don’t pay serverance.
From Amazon article
Experts say strict office attendance policies may be a way to get people to quit and avoid the cost of laying them off.
But plenty of Amazon employees are hoping leadership will reconsider the policy, which requires corporate workers to report to offices five days per week, up from the current three, beginning in 2025.
Amazon workers are “strongly dissatisfied” with the policy change, according to an anonymous survey created by employees, reported by Fortune. The survey was shared on company Slack channels, including a “remote advocacy” group with more than 30,000 members, whose support of flexible work could skew the findings.
I mean, if we don’t come in just fire us. Pay that severance. They won’t.
It's just funny how there is a 2-tiered system with those who are wfh and the rest. I get the impression that those of us in the office can be punished for doing our jobs while not hitting rto goals and the few they arbitrarily let wfh have no such obstacles
What makes this worse is managers are turning a blind eye on everything and not thoroughly explaining will happen id you do not go to the office. Not that any of us want to go in…
