So what happens to the employees who do not have literally a HUB near them?? Do we automatically get laid off ???

I’m interested in hearing what will happen to managers that are not near a hub. How hypocritical for a remote manager to be manager RTO employees. They need to be axed. I smell a Jane Fraser Operation Bora Bora (Google it) management sla-ghter on the horizon and I’ll be grinning ear to ear when it happens.
Dear Management,
We appreciate you! Not.
I think they will layoff those that are ignoring the RTO and not so much those that are not near a hub.
I do not know of anyone in my department who has quit because of RTO and I highly doubt in this job market that senior leadership expects those with any kind of tenure to quit. Even those actively seeking fully remote jobs are finding nothing is out there. If you are laid off because you did not follow RTO, good luck finding a fully remote job after your severance has run out. More than likely you will be working another hybrid job with less pay.
I can’t with this. No one is irreplaceable, you may think you are you are NOT! Everyone needs to stop caring about their team. The writing is on the wall. Figure out the odds. If quitting is a better option do it! If waiting for severance is better do that! It’s time to do what is best for us and NOT USB!
We are all replaceable. Don’t think for a second that you are special. Protect yourself and your family.
It depends. How valuable is your contribution? Are you unique in any way, or could you be easily replaced? Do you generate revenue - if not, are you capable of having a favorable impact on expenses? Do they even notice when you go on vacation? Most importantly, does your manager think his/her life would be more difficult without you?
Exceptions will always be made for certain people. You don't even have to be that good - you just have to convince your manager that you're making their job easier. Don't ever expect your manager to go to bat for you. They probably won't. They will, however, fight tooth and nail for their own self interest. Figure out what they want to hear, and feed it to them before they ask, and you'll improve your own chances. In the meantime, look for another job where you won't have to do these things to succeed.
No. A coworker was just approved for remote because of real estate being reserved for other teams in his area.
Laying off means they need to pay you severance and that's something they've been actively avoiding. So, no, you do not get the privilege of being "automatically laid off". Instead, they will take away your advancement opportunities so you will leave on your own.
